Dr. Kim Wise

DVM


Dr. Wise attended Texas A&M University where she earned Bachelor’s degrees in Biomedical Science and Veterinary Science and then went on to graduate from the School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her externship in Wolverhampton, England, in a small animal and equine practice. After moving to Los Angeles, CA, she worked in the Perinatal Physiology and Endocrinology Group at Harbor UCLA in Los Angeles, California, where she published several peer-reviewed papers and served as an advisor to the Animal Care and Use Committee. Simultaneously, Dr. Wise was working in several veterinary emergency hospitals and eventually started as a full-time small animal emergency clinician at McClave Veterinary Hospital in Woodland Hills, CA. After leaving California and working in Savannah, GA, and Bandung, Indonesia, Dr. Wise and her husband settled in Aledo, TX. She has been practicing at Clear Fork Veterinary Clinic since 2019 and enjoys all facets of small animal medicine, particularly critical care, surgery, and endocrinology. Dr. Wise and her husband, a fellow Aggie and aerospace engineer and architect, have two daughters. When not working, she enjoys traveling with her family, spending time outdoors hiking, boating, and skiing, experimenting on her family with new recipes, and music, including playing the piano.
